Funny, lively and breath-taking June 16, 2003 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Written with simple words by the first man to conquer Everest, this book is just great. As well as being a vivid account of what happened on this 29th of may 1953, it shows all the efforts involved in this expeditions and the competition that took place between the countries to be the first on top of the world. The only thing it misses is a few words about after the expedition, but that's probably in many other books about him.
