Amazon.co.uk Review Young children everywhere love dinosaurs but how many have actually seen them, let alone played with them? In Dinosaurs After Dark Bobby is in bed when he hears a noise... on investigating he sees a "huge enormous dinosaur". So begins the most amazing adventure, playing hide and seek, finding other dinosaurs, jumping over rooftops and much more, all at night. Dinosaurs After Dark is mainly told in rhyme, and though it is very simple it is full of adventure, action, imagination and excitement coupled with outstanding colourful illustrations. It is especially suitable for children age 4 plus. --Susan Naylor

A friendly night time dinosaur adventure with striking pictures November 27, 2006 ELH Browning (Kingston Bagpuize, Oxon) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Bobby looks out of his bedroom window at night to see a big green dinosaur which he follows to the city centre where there are lots of brightly coloured dinosaurs doing fantastic things like sliding down rooftops, swinging from cranes and riding astride a train. Surely this couldn't fail to excite any little boy from age 3. Then there's a last game, hide-and-seek during which Bobby falls asleep and is carried home by a dinosaur. It must have been a dream - but then who left those giant footprints along the street outside? This is a smashing book, and a very pleasant change from the dinosaur romp, dinosaur stomp books of which there seem to be several. There are no tricky dinosaur names, just a story of an appealing little boy in stripy PJs on a friendly dinosaur adventure, overlaid onto bold night time pictures. A winner!
