Difficult to classifyDecember 31, 2008 John Bugg(Surrey) This insight into the ways of a fossil hunter and biologist is facinating. His use of many Australian words is also interesting and enjoyable but what is frustrating is the introduction of many technical terms that are not explained for the layman. This may be due to meanness on the part of the publisher in not allowing the cost of a few diagrams and a glossary of those terms. These ommissions make the book rather drag in places.
Flannery & the KangarooDecember 30, 2007 Mark Coxhead(UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is a delightful mix of the history of Flannery along with the history of the Kangaroo. I enjoyed the insights into the strange life of a Palentologist and Flannery's observations on several current topics.
Can feel a bit long winded on the origins of the Kangaroo species, clearly his personal obsession.
