Average read! October 28, 2008 Bookworm (uk) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the first book I have read by Kevin Lewis and having read the reviews, this book sounded great and I couldn't wait to read it - it sounded just the type of book I like. Well, sorry to say I was disappointed - I didn't find the plot particularly interesting, it really didn't hold my attention and I wouldn't call this book a page turner. I struggled with it at times - it just wasn't exciting enough for me. There are much better books out there than this one, not sure if will read anything more by Kevin Lewis.
A little too gory but excellent story October 2, 2008 littleskippy (Leeds) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have just finished this book in 24hrs after staying up half the night. I am glad we shall see more of Stacey Collins. Very good story - I usually don't mind gory/serial killer books but this one upset me in parts especially regarding animal cruelty - I was in tears with this. I would read more by this author though and I have read all his books so far.

Could not put this book down ! I started out reading Martina Cole but have been disappointed of late, then tried Manadasue Heller and loved them all so when Amazon recommended Kevin Lewis I bought one book and then quickly got the rest. Fallen Angel is different from all the others but I am so looking forward to another Stacey Collins.
Very readable September 17, 2008 lotus (Devon, UK) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
To me, the writing was a little cheesy at times but nonetheless a good police procedural with an understandable plotline. (I tend to only have time to read in very short bursts so get a bit frustrated with multiple plotlines that can be confusing.) This one rattles along in linear fashion, which some readers might find too simplistic, but which I quite appreciated as an easy read. The only downside for me was the ghastliness of the crime, which in my opinion was too 'big' for the unsophisticated style of the book, compared with, say, Val McDermid's Tony Hill series, and served to make it hover on the edge of horror reading. Having said that, I would definitely read another DI Collins offering.
Wasn't what i expected, still fantastic! September 2, 2008 L. Thomas (Kent) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I finished reading Fallen Angel at 2am this morning! It took me 2 days to read and i really struggled to put it down. I am a huge fan of Kevin Lewis and have read all of his books. This storyline is completely different to anything else he's done. He really has pulled out a cracker i loved the story reminded me of Martina Cole's style of writing. Such a great storyline, a brilliant ending well done Kevin! I felt like i wanted to carry on reading and to my surprise after turning over the last page i realised that Fallen Angel is the 1st Novel in the DI Stacey Collins series! I cannot wait to read the next installment how exciting!
