Amazon.co.uk Review This stunning four-book slipcase houses the first four titles in the Harry Potter series in paperback--Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The perfect gift for Potter collectors, this stunning box set is also a great way to introduce anyone who has not yet been touched by the magic of the fantastical life of the most famous boy in the world. Great value November 26, 2007 Danielle M. Button 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had always been hesitiant to read these books due to the mass amounts of hype they attracted, but recently I succommed under pressure from friends. Although this box set isnt complete (final book missing), it is so much cheaper to purchase this then by the final book seperately. Its a really good set and great value for money-also I feel that the author developes the charachters greatly as the story proceeds and as it all developes the plot really does engolf you.
Boxed Set Magick! June 14, 2007 HPwizard (Hemel Hempstead, UK!) 7 out of 28 found this review helpful
And surely SpellingBee is also an alternative name for another reviewer listed on here, and he needs to amend his one and only review and pop a question mark in, where it is appropriate - tut, tut - such omissions from the preacher of modern day education!
You must be mad! June 4, 2007 R. Clark (Essex, England) 20 out of 26 found this review helpful
No matter how good the books, why on earth would anyone buy this box set of 6 when you can wait for the complete set of 7 books in a few months! The only reason to buy this set is the fantastic price, just over 4 a book, but forget the fact they're in a boxed set!
GREAT May 24, 2007 Head Teacher - Mark Adams (York) 14 out of 27 found this review helpful
I agree with reviewer 'Professor Bates' - the Amazon platfom is for reviewing the product not airing old-fashioned views about the state of education, literacy or anything else - it is 2007, you know!
Definitely 5 stars and a SET to keep for life May 24, 2007 Professor Bates (Chipperfield, Herts.) 14 out of 29 found this review helpful
However, please ask the older reviewers to keep their comments re the hobbies of the 'children of today', to themselves - it is NOT part of the reviewing practice to attempt to lecture people, globally, here. Stick to the job or leave it to the rest of us!!
