Lovely book January 8, 2007 Mrs. C. Campbell (UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
A great fun book for young and older children, my daughter is two and loves all the different picture examples for each letter. There's lots to look at and i'm sure it'll become one of her favourites.
A rollicking romp through the alphabet. March 22, 2005 ELH Browning (Kingston Bagpuize, Oxon) 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
This is a fantastic contemporary book to help children learn their a-z without realizing it. The illustrations are bright and lively, the rhyming text has a good rhythm and there's lots to spot for each letter in addition to those highlighted by the words. For example, on the Mm-Nn page, m is for mischievous monkey and mat, n is for naughty and 'no, don't do that' as the naughty monkey throws a mango. There are also mice, moths, milk, a mole, a newt, a nest and musical notes to spot. Throughout the book there are robots and snowmen, a tea party, a picnic, jesters and a pirate ship as well as an alphabet stuffed full of animals. Much more fun than a traditional alphabet book.
