Gotta Love The Chick-Lit August 15, 2008 Colleen Hannah 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I found Lucy In The Sky in an oxfam shop and boy am I glad I picked it up, because after that I couldnt put it down. After the first couple of pages I was hooked. I'm a big fan of the cheesey chick-lit and this has become one of my favourites, its a lovely story and even though it lacks enough smooching for my taste I still love it. I really connected with the character (also helps my name is Lucy as well) and felt as though I was reading a little adventure about myself. I'm now half way through 'Johnny Be Good' and again finding it hard to put it down, and its becoming a contender to take the favourite spot...have to see how it ends. I totally didnt click that there was a subtle hint of how the characters in 'Lucy in the sky' are doing now in 'Johnny Be Good' Love the little connection, love Paign Toon, cant wait for the next one!
Laught out loud! June 16, 2008 C. Reade (london) This was such a great book to read on the beach on holiday, my friend read it first and read out so many funny bits i had to read the book as soon as she finished! The storyline was great and did not disappoint at all. I would really recommend you read this book!
Could not put it down! June 11, 2008 Yeti (Hampshire, UK) Perfect holiday read for me, I couldn't put it down and really enjoyed every second of it. It appears from the reviews on here that you either love it or hate it... and I'm firmly in the love camp as most other people are! Not a huge fan of chick lit but this is the exception. Definitely worth a read.
Absolutley Brilliant!! June 7, 2008 Katie I've never really wanted to write a review for a book before, but this one i just had to. From beggining to end it was brilliant. I have been trying to get everyone i know to read this, and when they have they've said exactly the same. Fingers crossed the writters next book can reach the same great standard as Lucy in the sky, i surely hope so.
Fabulous June 2, 2008 Lisa Christison (Scotland) This book was a great holiday read and I am now starting her new book which is proving to be as catchy on first impressions.
