A MUST HAVE BOOK FOR ALL ROUND THE HORNE FANS! June 25, 2003 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
A must for any Round The Horne fan... a guide to the players, the characters, the chat and those amazing ditties by Rambling Syd Rumpo! Includes early scripts from 1st series. No photographs, but line illustrations which portray the characters in an amazing fashion. A real collectors item - my copy (now extremely well thumbed) has pride of place! BUY IT... YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
An excellent addition to anyone's Round the Horne collection December 2, 1999 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
These four complete programmes are taken from series 4: "Big Broads Don't Squeal", "Apache Story", "Escape from Stalag Limpwrist", and "Bona Prince Charlie". In each case, the main sketch is a "Movie-Go-Wrong" film parody.
4 episodes of the BBC radio comedy. December 2, 1999 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Four more episodes of the BBC radio comedy, Round the Horne, this time all from series 4: "Relatively Grand Prix", "The Celluliod Jungle", "I Showed Them in Fleet Street", and "Beau Nydle". The title sketch in each case is a movie parody from the series called "Movie-Go-Wrong". A must for Round the Horne fans.
Four episodes of the radio show Round the Horne December 2, 1999 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Four complete shows from series 3 of the BBC radio comedy, Round the Horne. This time the Beeb, instead of jumping around, chose four episodes originally broadcast on consecutive weeks: "The Maltese Brass Monkey", "The Big Top", and parts 1 and 2 of "The Muffplaster Saga". This leaves only 2 more shows from series 3 to appear on BBC cassette (are you listening, Auntie?). Excellent sound quality, as usual, and a valuable addition to any Round the Horne fan's collection.
