Ok so I am a bit of a sad-o crime book listener but I think these old series books are just great. I bought the box set plus there are some additional stories and loved them all. Have to say I preferred Anthony Head reading them (not sure why) but the stories are great. Quite in tune with the Thin Man era of Martinis at 10am...!! What a great life it would have been to lead 8-)

This review relates to the CD's bought on their own but I'm sure there is no difference the stories are great and well acted due to it being live recordings Peter Coke is great as Paul Temple in my opinon he should have been Temple from the start along with Marjorie Westbury shioukld have played Steve from the start as she is also great. If you want some classic radio PI action this boxset is for you.
