No, no, no. Stop it. Please. June 28, 2008 Ray Blake (Hemel Hempstead, UK) I have come to expect little from this series, and in this respect, the latest outing does not disappoint. If you like characters that it's difficult to tell apart, if you enjoy Janet & John dialogue that even Enid Blyton would have discarded as too facile and stilted, if you don't really want any real plot worth speaking of, if you want protagonists to act outside their established motivations, then by all means, obtain this book. It's just your sort of thing. For the rest of us, however, this book disappoints on every level. The 'thrilling court room scenes' are hackneyed and pedestrian. Just as in the previous novel, it is as if none of the protagonists have been in court before, nor understand many basic legal concepts. Mr Patterson's name and reputation continue to be cheapened by his involvement in this series - whatver the actual nature of that involvement might be. It's time for him to write some good books again on his own (without some of the obvious product placement we've seen from him in the past, too) and re-establish some credibility as a writer. Come on, James, you're better than this.
Hard going and no mistake!! May 19, 2008 Mrs. J. A. Moore (Ashbourne, Derbyshire) I love most of James Patterson's books, with the exception of You've Been Warned! which to my mind was complete rubbish!! I have to say that, up until now, I have thoroughly enjoyed the WMC series of books. The book was flitting from one thing to another, there was no suspense or drama. I found it to be hard going and it didn't grip me like the other WMC books! Quite disappointing all in all!!
