funny and sweet November 24, 2007 MiniN (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Such a sweet and funny book. This book will have you laughing and crying in places. A true romance book for modern girls!
A bit dissapointing September 4, 2007 Ms. M. E. Sydenham (London) I am 120 pages into this novel and, to be honest, am finding it a bit boring. So far we have been introduced to the characters, and the scene has been set, but nothing of any significance has actually happened. I find myself skim-reading the pages and wondering where it is actually going. Shame.
Another brilliant effort June 10, 2007 gabby (UK) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Yet another fabulous book by one of the best chick lit authors there is. Even more fantastic characters you can relate to, another story you get wrapped up in and a book you'll be really sorry to get to the end of. If you're a Mansell fan already, there's no excuse not to read this one! You won't be disappointed.
Great for a quick, easy read with substance April 18, 2007 A. Kabani (Seattle, WA USA) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
This was my first Jill Mansell book and I was very pleasantly surprised. I liked her writing style, the depthness of the characters and the fact that there does seem to be a plot. Plus, it was a great change from the 20-30-ish singleton life. It involved real life situations, if somewhat exaggerated. The book makes you laugh and almost even cry. I'm looking forward to trying more of her books.
Very enjoyable but... March 14, 2007 Readlover (Athens, Greece) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I just read it and I must admit that I really enjoyed it but it left me a feeling that the author at the end didn't give it much of a thought; just wanted to finish the book as quickly as she could. The author uses three quarters of the book to put the reader in the story of the main heroine, her ex-husband, her ex-boss, her new boss, her friend, and as the plot has reached a very interesting point, everything ends in just a few pages compared to the total volume of the book. Anyway, I don't regret having read it; it is still a very enjoyable book.
