Persuasion not necessary April 6, 2008 MG Eldridge (Anywhere but Bath) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Persuasion is not a perfect novel. It is not the most perfect novel written by Jane Austen. It is, however, by some measure the most poignant, written at the end of her life and might be described as an Indian Summer of a book. Juliet Stevenson reads superbly - every word to be savoured. I recommend this recording highly.
