Brilliant October 3, 2008 Martin Pinnegar (UK) I have recently bought the book for my business management course at university, it is a great book for refeancing things on my course adn my tutors highly recomended getting our hands on one. It will be used well by me a great text book if you are studying at degree level or higher.
A must have edition to your academic collection September 21, 2008 S Turner (UK) I have used this book all the way through my CIPD studies and it has helped tremendously. This book along wth a book by Buchanan and Huczynski were my two main reference points as they provide a clear and concise overview of concepts of organisational behaviour and the two books complement themselves very well.
A very good buy! July 9, 2008 Dyslexic Student I'm doing a management foundation degree and again - this was a recommended text - its easy to read - the layout is good for those of us with a short attention span - although I don't like the typeface, it breaks the text up with diagrams and clear subheadings, it asks key questions (which although I haven't used them, could see value as a revision aid) and a really useful glossary. I won't be reading the whole book - but for getting those necessary quotes for assignments I think it pays for itself!
Superb March 11, 2007 Mr. SA Moakes (Stockport, Cheshire United Kingdom) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is excellent - i bought it in preparation for a module relating to organisational behaviour and human resource management and it hasn't let me down. Other books in the same that I own don't come close to the level of this book in assisting my research. Well laid out with good contrasts with practise and a great section at the back with articles from the FT. Excellent and worth every penny!
Very helpful October 1, 2006 O. Doyle (Ireland) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I purchased this book because it was recommended by a tutor as a good accompaniment for a course I was taking in management studies. Personally I find management studies mind-numbing and was only taking this course to propel me onto a course I really wanted to do in library studies. So the kind of book I needed was one that wouldn't send me into a coma but would explain what I needed to know about management studies in plain English. That's exactly what I got in this book. It's a text book that is well thought-out, easy to read and a great reference book for anything to do with management or organizing a business. It helped me ace my exams in management studies and has been pulled out again for this years HR Management modules of my information & library studies course.
