I think this book is a rip-off. I expected a tutorial [at least], and possibly some actual examples of creative effects being applied. Ms Baker has, regretably, simply copied the Adobe user guide into simplistic square boxes and offers us nothing new. As for calling the book " ...... After Effects X....", this is blatantly misleading - there is not one single screenshot relating to the Mac ! ! ! Only good for levelling a desk-leg, this one, I'm afraid.

I bought this book thinking it was a tutorial. It's not. It's essentially a users guide that's been rewritten in an easier, not too techie, manner. It comes with no CD and, consequently, no practice files so unless you have graphics, video, files etc, you will have nothing to work with in order to learn After Effects. Adobe does a pretty good job with the users guide that comes with after effects.
