Too Short A Book For Such a Long Life September 26, 2008 The Kinniburgh Kid (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is an amazing story read here very well and highly effectively by Alan Howard. The undoubted main hook and theme of the book is Harry Patch's first hand account of his life as a Tommy in the Great War, but this is the story of the whole of Harry's 110 year (so far) life. It is a fascinating and moving tale that is beautifully read. Very moving for several reasons, and they are not the obvious ones, I cannot recommend this highly enough. My only (slight) criticism is that, being an abridged version, it is not long enough because I enjoyed it so much and wanted to spend more time with Harry.
