Great audio CDs from the master success guru June 29, 2008 K. A. Kariyawasam (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a great fan of Brian Tracy's work. He has a gift for simplifying potentially complex topics in a logical step-wise manner that is easy to assimilate and internalise. He also has a good soothing yet assertive speaking voice which is crucial for audio lectures of this nature. The two CDs that come with this package are both very good quality and are broken down into clearly defined topics - it is a shame that there is no accompanying leaflet to display the topic titles , neither are they on the cover - but that is only a minor point. In any case, it would make sense for the listener to make his or her own notes; and maybe this was the idea behind not including them in the first place. Having read many reviews of Brian's work it is easy to see how anyone who takes the content seriously will feel empowered; but this will only last if the techniques are internalised and used regularly to build well-formed habits and routines in your personal and working life. That's the hard bit! In this regard, it is probably a good idea to use this material along-side Stephen R. Covey's work on 'The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People'. The latter is a distinct work and should be highly commended in it's own right as it offers a different flavour of the material with an emphasis on paradigms. This is a good buy at a very reasonable price. As for the criticism that 'isn't Self development material just common sense?' . . . it's funny how uncommon common sense really is!

I used this at work a few years ago and it was amazing. I have jusr reordered my own copy! It is the best motivational series I've come across.
This set of tapes changed my life! April 29, 2001 howard@innovation.force9.net (UK) 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
I purchased this set of tapes around 3 years ago at a seminar. I listened on a daily basis and took on board the points raised - within 6 months I had tripled my salary and found an inner confidence that I didn't realise existed. My brother-in-law has a similar story. I realise these tails of miracle 'cures' are usually made up but I am living proof that the only thing that is holding you back is yourself - 'anything you can believe you can achieve' - you sure can
Are you ready to move onwards, upwards? January 6, 2001 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
I came across this audio cassette package a while ago and it may sound cheesy to say this, but it did change my life. When I was wondering why I didn't seem to be earning the kind of money I wanted, when I didn't seem to have enough time to accomplish things, Brian Tracy will explain why. He describes sources of motivation, self-esteem, really thinking, planning and doing things that will enrich and fulfil your life. I particularly liked the sections on writing down your goals, doing things a little at a time that will help you achieve your aims. These ideas have helped my focus more clearly on what I want to do with my life. I also liked sections on letting go of fear. So, if you are not getting want you want from your life and want some insight on how to move on, then this is the audio series for you.
Lifetime, Ready Reference March 12, 1998 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
Beyond the plethora of taped and printed materials on psychological theory, this offers a down-to-earth, '1-2-3' steps and techniques approach to immediately apply to situations in my personal and professional life. I listen to the set on a regular basis for emphasis and rejuvenation.
