The Espana Viva series is a great learning tool but I feel these tapes don't do enough to make you want to learn Spanish. The tapes are of bad quality and you don't feel like you are achieving very much. These tapes are great if you want to learn how Spanish people talk by following the Espana Viva book but they will do very little to boost your confidence and a sense of achievement. These tapes should only be purchased if you have the Espana viva book as they follow the layout of the book. One of my best buys I have used to learn Spanish is The Michel Thomas series. Very clear and in no time you will be asking to book a meal in a restaurant. Defiantly worth a look.
