Little investing December 19, 2002 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is more about learning and mastering your subject -any subject -than it is about investing. Hagstrom gives an overview of the topics he feels would contribute to a persons education: philosophy, literature, psychology, and the sciences (amongst others). He does relate these topics to investing briefly, but in general the book gives little insight in to actual methods of investing. Buffet's essays and the Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham give more precise intructions on technique. The book was enjoyable and worth reading if you are not already a polymath, because in the end the books purpose seems to be convincing you to become one.
