4 out of 5 stars Cult book   September 24, 2003

I read this book in the South of France this summer. It was the best out of the pile we took. Thoroughly enjoyable romp through abatoirs (suitable for vegetarians). The dialogue had us in tears of laughter and the pace was second to none. The characters were pleasingly stereotypical - the mad mexican was easily visualised. Speaking as a medic I found the medicine the weakest part but maybe others wouldn't be so pedantic. Definately recommend for a fast fun read.
