A set piece murder mystery with a humorous slant. August 1, 2007

A no-nonsense handbag swinging american librarian attends a weekend houseparty made up of Ricardians - people who are dedicated to proving that Richard the third was innocent. The attendees enact roles of members of the dead king's court with varying degrees of appropriateness. As they begin to become victims of humiliating and dangerous attacks, the search to find out who is responsible becomes a race for time before tragedy can ensue.
This is similar in style to the Amelia Peabody stories, but I preferred it, largely because of the charcterisation.
