Repairman Jack in a return to formSeptember 7, 2005 Ronan James Lowe 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have reviewed some of the other novels by FOW and even after reading him solidly for half a decade I find it hard to fault any of his work. Particularly the on going adventures of the only worthy successor to the heros of earier eras (Bond, Jones, Conan etc). Once Again FPW delivers a riviting chapter of the over all story arc and this time we get to walk around with Jacks very own family - deal with the "othernes" - handle some vengeful baddies - watch Jack nearly put in the media spot light - take a hypothetical leap into the future and finally (playing on the fact he is a medical man) tame a virus that may or maynot be sentient.
F. Paul Wilson is without doubt, the finest writer of truly entertaining fiction on the shelves today. His face paced style of action meets espionage meets horror meets whatever the hell the imagination can come up with never becomes stale and his ability to tell a story as though he were sitting next to you is unparalelled.
