EMH December 29, 2007 Ding Dong Pong (USA) I thought this book was downright hilarious!!! When I opened the first page and started reading, I immediately started laughing out loud. I couldn't put this book down for one second. I especially loved the part about the holographic relationships and the illustrated pictures throughout the book really made me laugh as well. Robert Picardo did a superb job with this book and it's a must read for all die-hard Voyager fans. And even if you're not a fan of the show, you would surely get a kick out of this book!
A superb book, true to the character! August 1, 2003 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This book (Sorry, handbook) is wonderful! I’ll start by saying the paper quality is wonderful, the cover looks good, and now the content. Let me tell you, it is great fun! You really peer into the mind of the doctor, as it’s written from his point of view, and that only makes it more fun. Funny remarks (Neelix is a cross between a warthog and a piece of old furniture) funny pictures, … This book gives you a look at the character aswell, stuff you've never heard or seen even. The chapters aren’t very long, the book is quite short, but that’s good because there are only great parts in this book, nothing is repetitive or tedious. I really recommend this, even if you’re not a voyager fan!
Please State The Nature of the Medical Emergency... February 11, 2003 Mr President (Glasgow) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
After watching the Voyager series from start to finish i think this book is a fitting homage to perhaps the wittest and sharpest character Star Trek has yet to beat - yes the EMH, or Doc to his friends. The book was wonderfully written, fully excaptulating the Doctors sarcastic wit, and offering rather amusing commentry on the behaviour of the crew. I especially enjoyed the chapter about hologram relationships. Comic genius. Anyone for a game of golf on the holodeck?
