Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Decent Read   April 6, 2003

This book is not necessarily aimed for runners only, although to be honest, much of it will not be funny for nonrunners, or just simply won't make sense. Also the illustrations add little to nothing to this book except help beef up the page count. But if you do decide to pick this up, it is definitely an interesting read.

Starting off slowly with a rigid style, the pace of the book picks up, and along with it the humour and comedy improve, highlighting the lighter side of the sport. For all runners who ever thought that they were eccentric or very particular about certain things need to read this guy's eccentricities before they judge their own. And believe me, this guy is very very eccentric, and above all else, this is what makes this book a good read.

So it IS worth a look. But if you're looking for a more light-hearted self-deprecating comedy on running, you need to check out Russell Taylor's installment instead.
