I picked up this book beacuse I was looking for walks specifically around the Hastings area. Though there aren't many of those I know I'll get great use out of the book for years to come. The descriptions provide a useful guide for selecting suitable walks for all different levels of walker. Some of the route notes can be a little vague in places and perhaps a bit too detailed in others though in general they're good and add to the enjoyment of the walk. The maps for each walk are there just as guide so you'll certainly need a suitable OS map at certain points. In general a good book which doesn't overly focus on the South Downs, definitely worth considering if you want to get out and see Sussex.
