Hey this is the American edition of this book, but i have found a UK edition that has just come out which collects together the best of the first and second American books. You can find it by clicking on Davy Rothbart's name. It is a little cheaper also at 6.59 reduced from 9.99.

Insightful to say the least February 27, 2007 A. Cox (England) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I become familiar with Found through purchasing the magazine. I loved it, a collection of personal letters and notes found across America. When i found there was a book i had to get it, and i'm not disappointed. Some examples are taken from the magazine but there are loads more new finds. They are all nicely named and described by the finder. Some notes are comical, crude, mysterious and peculiar, you can spend ages trying to read the illegible handwriting. Its really insightful into the peoples feelings, their beliefs, moral and opinion. Great to read through, more interesting the the average fiction book. Imagine it as a comprehensive collection of personal short stories. Its printed soley in black and white all cut and paste similar to a zine style. I would recommend this to everyone!

I don't read non-fiction all that often, but I was intrigued by FOUND when it was nominated as a 2007 Popular Paperbacks for Young Adults. And I'm very glad I picked up a copy! FOUND is, quite simply, a book filled with notes, letters, lists, pictures, and other miscellaneous items that have been found--either in the trash, on a sidewalk, stuck on a windshield, or just about anywhere else--that people have sent to the editors of FOUND Magazine for inclusion. There is no real index to allow you to search for specific found items, but you can search by state. It doesn't really matter, though, because once you get started, you'll want to read the entire book. There are found items ranging from the funny, to the heartbreaking, to the downright insane ramblings of someone who obviously needs medication. Some of my personal favorites include: THIS PHASE OF YOURS found in Hoffman Estates, IL FIND GOD, START DRINKING found in Lincoln, NE MY OWN PRIVATE LIBRARY found in Casper, WY AARON'S ALGEBRA TEST found in Portland, ME This is definitely an informative and funny read. I'm looking forward to the release of FOUND II on May 2nd, which should be very educational, indeed! [...]
What a find! January 18, 2006 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
This is a brilliant book if you like random things. Some fun and also some sad letter and photos etc contained within. All the items featured have been found by members of the public and sent into found.com which produces the book. Crazy things from shopping lists to break-up letters, letters to lost loves etc. I real insight into peoples lives!
