A very strong book in the excellent series August 26, 2007 Lou Knee (England) Got to be top five this one, there's great humour all the way through this sunny adventure, and the traffic jams of horses and carts (including sports carts) slowly making their way to the coast is wonderful satire on the modern age.
Absolutely Astounding Asterix November 2, 2005 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is one of the best of a brilliant series. Like Asterix in Britain it is a tiny village holding out against the Romans (I think we have heard that before). As a boy I like the fact that one of the main characters is a boy and naughty. He is the son of the village chief Huevos Y Bacon. He causes lots of trouble for Asterix and Obelix but his great friend is Dogmatix. Obelix and Asterix decide to take him back to Spain and have lots of Spanish adventures on the way. I would recommend it everyone of all ages.
It's Spainfully obvious! March 5, 2005 Mrs K T Jenkins (Swindon, England) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
A really classic story involving Asterix and his Gaulish pals. It has happened again, Caesar's conquered all of Hispania (Spain) except for "one small village holding out against the invaders"! In retaliation, he captures the small, but amazingly strong, son of the chief, Huevos Y Bacon, and sends him to Gaul! He is rescued by the Gauls from the Romans, but he turns out to be so unbearable, they decide to send him back to his village, but an old enemy is out to stop 'em! Another great story from the incredible Goscinny and Uderzo, with more laughs, more fights and more unexpected, but hilarious turns!
