I read 'How to Cook a Tart' on holiday and really enjoyed it. I found myself trying to guess how it was going to end...and failed. It has a great plot and is full of interesting, funny, real characters. I am really looking foward to reading the next book by this author....I definitely recommend this one!

A book for real foodies. The plot thickens at the same rate as the venison stew. A fun, well-rounded book (more than the book is well-rounded!)which will make you giggle, and salivate at the wonderful food descriptions.

Recently, and unfortunately read this book.
The story revolves around a writer of cookbooks who is famous for producing clotted artery inducing recipes. In the midst of trends of dieting and low calorie foods, she suffers a crisis when her publishing house drops her. Meanwhile her husband has an affair.
Characters remain 2 dimensional. The story is of little originality, and the prose of similar standards to The Sun. All in all, a most unsatisfying read.
