Superb for all in Architecture, Contracting or Self-build!!May 7, 2003 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
A top class book that will be enjoyed by all in the 'game' from Contractor to Architect. Now you really get to see both sides of the story. Even though written in the 20's nothing has changed too much except the advent of fax and email.
I've read it a couple of times now and still dip in to it every so often.

The Honeywood File has been an architect's trade secret since 1929. If you are connected with building, contracting or DIY home improvement and haven't read this book you have missed the funniest and most informative source of information available. Look out for 'The Honeywood Settlement' by the same author (out of print now I fear) and a sequel written in the same style in 1983 by A J Elder called 'The Rubicon File' which covers the same ground but on an industrial build. You will not regret it!
