A book you go back to again and again August 31, 1999 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
After reading this book I wished that I would have half of Feynman's joy of learning and living. He was one in a zillion!
This book simply changed my way of looking at things... August 29, 1999 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It is without doubt one of the best books I've ever read. Besides being amusing and easy to read, it teaches you a lot about science and the way it should be approached. His life is an example to follow, and his autobiography is the best I've seen so far. I strongly recomend it to everybody, you don't have to be a scientist to read it!
Excellent stories about a man with an abundance of character August 18, 1999 A smooth, flowing, and entertaining autobiography about a man of true genius but definently rooted in the world with the rest of us. From the Manhattan project to picking up the ladies in smokey bars, Dr. Feynaman and his curiosity has narrowed the gap between the superlative and the mundane. This book is not a boring account of a scientist, but an exciting book about a man who lived mostly on his terms.
O Americano, Outra Vez! August 3, 1999 To peoples seeking the full spirit and atmosphere of Feynman's stories, I recommend instead or in addition the audio CDs that Ralph Leighton has--thanks Ralph--made availables. Those are the originals and really delightful sources, straight from the horse's mouth, even though not all stories are yet availables.
Highly Entertaining July 16, 1999 A series of amusing stories for both the scientist and the layman. The safecracking story is priceless.
