Amazon.co.uk Review Josie Lloyd and Emlyn Rees hit upon a winning formula with their first joint novel Come Together, billed as a unique opportunity to view a heterosexual couple's relationship from both sides. Now they consummate this success in this sequel, Come Again, a tale of four troubled twentysomethings: two trapped by success, two by failure. Amy and Jack's relationship comes to a head when they decide to get married. They take a back seat as four of their friends plan their wedding for them, whilst in turn attempt to build relationships of their own. Helen, or H as her friends call her, has such a happening job that she has no time for anything else. Matt has the same problem, so perhaps the two should get together... Former coke-snorter Stringer has moved back in with his mum while he sorts his head out. And saucy Susie cannot keep her legs shut. Fans of Lloyd and Rees will gain satisfaction from this re-entry into Amy and Jack's sassy shenanigans. If you like Friends and Four Weddings and a Funeral, this will hit the right spot. --Daren King.

Come Again June 15, 2008 L. (UK) I have just ordered 'Come Again', but i havn't read 'Come Together'. Do i need to read this to understand the second one??
Come Together / Come Again: A better class of Romance April 1, 2007 maria1971 The first Josie Lloyd & Emlyn Rees I read was `We are Family', which I thought was amazing, so I immediately ordered `Come Together' and `Come Again' and read them back-to-back, hoping for more of the same. However, these are nothing like `We are Family', primarily because these are essentially romantic novels, albeit with more interesting characters, but also because there was none of the "darkness" that made `We are Family' such a stunning read. That's not to say that these are not enjoyable reads (`Come Together' more so, in my opinion) just in a very different vein. `Come together' is funny, tender and very `real', maintaining the fine balance between being romantic and being soppy without ever becoming unrealistic. Furthermore, and unusually for a romantic novel, it has characters you can both relate to and care about. `Come Again' is a sort of follow-on to `Come Together' in that it features many of the same characters, but they seem much more hastily put together, with far less depth to each in this one, so that I found it hard to become attached to any of them... in fact, they were only just likeable. Its saving grace is that, for a novel of its genre, it is definitely not predictable, and it made me smile on quite a few occasions.
Excellent !!! June 1, 2005 deb fireball i picked up this book hoping it would be a fun read and help me pass some time and thats exactly what it was.i loved this book and i loved all the characters, yes, even H.one thing i really liked in the book was that entire thing between H and Matt(both my favourite characters).i hope we get to read more about what happens between those two.is there going to be another book coming out ???
A Disappointing Follow-up May 12, 2002 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I LOVED "Come Together" and had been unable to get a copy of "Come Again" as soon as I had liked. I think that my expectations were simply too high by the time that I read it. "Come Together" was refreshing, funny and the characters had more depth. In "Come Again" the four separate voices became confusing, none (except for the horribly bitchy 'H') had a voice that was truly unique from the others - despite the fact that the characters were of different genders. I was unable to care about any of the characters and it really didn't matter to me if any of them got together or not. I was shocked to find myself so un-entertained by this novel, but perhaps a lot of the "chemistry" in "Come Together" fizzled out when the authors J. Lloyd and E. Rees came together in real life during the writing of the first book.
Super! December 8, 2001 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've just spent the last eight hours reading this book - once I started reading it I couldn't put it down as I was always anticipating what was going to happen next! This is a funny and heartwarming book and Lloyd and Rees come out on top again! I felt like I actually knew the characters and was there with them! You'll enjoy reading about bitchy H and Susie the Floozy, and your heart will go out to Matt and Stringer - what cuties! All I can say is what a brilliant book! I've read all three of Lloyd and Rees jointly written books and I haven't been disappointed yet! I can't wait for the next one - hurry up and get writing Josie and Emlyn!!
