Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars CIA's role in Allende's downfall   November 7, 2008
Malawi-watcher (London)
From the cautiously worded review by the publisher, it sounds as though this book questions the CIA's involvement in the military coup that overthrew the Allende government in Chile in 1973.
Students of that event will be aware of the book The Pinochet File: A Declassified Dossier on Atrocity and Accountability by Peter Kornbluh (2004). He examines (and reproduces) declassified American archive documents, and has no doubt about the US's involvement
