I bought this on the strength of another recommendation and wanted to reddress the balance. I am a fan of buffy-esque type novels and have read (and really enjoyed) the barbed coil as recommended by another reviewer. I also enjoy a regular dose of regency romance.
BUT I gave up on this book. I know reading is about personnel choice but this was truly dire. Sorry!

three separate stories from the ever-bursting pen of Nora Roberts. Very easy reading, but you really do have to suspend reality. All have a high degree of fantasy/magic and because they are short'ish' we don't get as much character depth as you usually get from Nora Roberts. Inspite of this, I enjoyed the characters, she drew the settings beautifully and the book on the whole was a satisfying read. If you enjoyed this - but want a little more depth, with lots more magic it's worth trying The Barbed Coil by J V Jones.
