Doesnt hit the mark unfortunately.... March 12, 2008 J. M. Roberts (Herts) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
As a teacher i was hoping this would save me valuable time and effort. Sadly OFSTED do not approve or recognise these lesson plans. The lessons are dull and incomplete. Not the solution you were probably looking for Im afraid! A waste of time & money!
Fantastic Resource December 30, 2007 K. L. Mclachlain (London UK) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book/CD quickly helped me to come to grips with the new Primary Maths Framework and cut down on my planning time. There are quite manageable lesson plans, ICT teaching resources and differentiated activities and worksheets. You can use the lessons straight from the book or pick and choose material to complement your own planning and resources. It also comes in handy when leaving work for supply teachers (or if you are a supply teacher who has had to walk into a classroom and pull a lesson out of a hat) as it's clear and easy to run with. Highly recommended!
The kiddies are loving it - who knew maths could be fun? October 3, 2007 Please Sir! (Hull) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
This new book has brought the popular series bang up to date, and on first viewing its easy to see why it is so successful, and why I am such a fan. With user friendly format for both teacher and pupils, it takes the drudge out of lesson planning. The book is well written, by someone who obviously has hands-on experience in the classroom. The author uses a jolly tone and lightness of touch throughout the book that is guaranteed to enthuse your little cherubs, and get them to sit up, take notice and engage! For me personally, this book is a beacon of excellence in a sea of less memorable offerings. It has in short made my working day easier and my pupil's day more fun. Essential in the 21st century classroom it comes complete with cd. My kiddies heartily recommend it!
