3 out of 5 stars Good but Graphic   August 6, 2008
Ms. H. V. Armstrong (Scotland)
This book put me off to begin with because it was the first book from the series i had read and as it started with a glossary i was like - oh here we go, but it actually turned out to be a good read. The relationship between the two characters is good and believable however i would say that from the other reviews you would not realise that the book is fairly graphic. However these scenes come in chapters almost so can be missed out if the reader desires. The view point throughout the book changes, mostly between the two main characters so you get a good understanding of the events from both charcaters perspective. I did prefer this book to the one i am currently reading in the series - A Hunger like no other, as the characters have a different and from my point of view more romantic dynamic. I Might revisit the series in future but its not the sort of thing i was expressly looking for however i do not regreat the time i have spent reading the books as the author is obviously very skilled with words.

5 out of 5 stars Dark but wonderful installment of the IAD series...   July 28, 2008
Jessica Simpson (Berks, UK)
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. After reading the synopsis I was doubtful that the Vamp/Ghost take would work in the IAD series but I was quite superbly proved wrong. Anyone who has read Kresley Cole's IAD series before should enjoy this delve into other species of the lore. I love that the characters from previous installments in the series are still being involved and not forgotten. I could not put this down and I have already started the next in the series...

I wont detail the storyline as other reviewers have done such a good job! For those who have yet to discover Kresley Cole - her stories are immensly enjoyable. I have read every single one of her books (including the historical novels) and have found her to be consistently good. I would recommend in particular her 'Immortals after Dark' series and the 'If You' series .

Although this was not my favourite book of the series, it was still a fantastic story. Neomi and Conrad were wonderful characters they made a great couple and provided some funny and sexy scenes. Nix was as always very amusing.

5 out of 5 stars What a book!!   May 18, 2008

Out of all Kresley Coles Immortals series this is my second favourite. I say second as A hunger like no other is my absolute fav. After all who wouldn't love a Lykae like Lachlain? However this book is fantastic right from the beginning your sucked, (pardon the pun) into the story.
I won't tell you the plot, but will say that for anyone who loves romance, mystical stuff or better yet both will love these books. I can't recommend them enough. Please, please Kresley Cole, if you read these, give us some more Lykae stories.
