This is a book I just bought on an whim. I've read the Honor series by Weber and I decided to try this as I was out of books to read. I have to say that I was mightily pleased with it. the book does a lot to help flesh out the universe that the Honor series takes place in. I recommend that anyone interested in space conflict read this book as Weber is able to do things to it that no other author can compare to.

Set in the star fire universe, this book has loose links to the other David weber books set within the Star fire task force games strategy system. Interesting political interplays within the different sides and current parallels in the 'religious' sects.
