| Customer Reviews:
Interesting book with opinion! June 6, 2006 Kingston Man An excellent book towards understanding the fortunes of the England cricket team, at any given time,as well as county cricket in general. Why doesn't any one (or two) counties (like Manchester United or Arsenal in football) dominate the county tournaments? What determines the number of England contracted players? Why is the cycle of injury, then defeat, for the England team repeated again and again? Is this book still relevant to the present situation? Answers to these and other questions are hinted at or answered giving the reader a chance to understand. Chapters on Angus Fraser/ Graham Dilley and Mark Nicholas are quite significant. The questionnaire towards the back of the book, sent to the first class counties, should enable an understanding of where the counties are coming from. Throughout Ian's healthy opinion should make interesting reading!
