Not impressed with this book at all. Very American but VERY old fashioned. Anyone who recommends teaching a youngster to stand tied up by tying it to a tree with a rope around its throat, and chasing it with a sack, is no horse lover. Sorry but I have a horse we bred ourselves and we never had to resort to this to teach it manners. Asking for broken legs and necks. I'll stick to Monty Roberts / Richard Maxwell in future, far more horse-friendly.
