Really helpful book September 10, 2007 Mrs. L. Donaldson (City, London, UK) Anyone interested in diving, this is a great tool and full of lots of information to help all improve their diving
Springboard and platform diving May 13, 2004 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
an excellent tool for the learner and more experienced diving coach. Particularly useful sections on how to teach spotting techiniques and the breaking down of techniques for dives. I found the description of techniques for forward/inward dives and twisters particularly useful.Particularly with reference to tips for maintaining balance prior to the "throw" and achieving faster rotation by using technques to get into a tight pike position earlier. My only criticism is that these valuable points whould be more visible if they had been laid out in bullet points.- The reading of these techiniques is dense as it is descirbing complex movement sequences and it is helpful to take notes/ underline as you go along so you are able to find these easily in the text later.- I ended up scribbling all over my coach's copy by doing this- so I am buying a new one to replace it!!
