Another great adventure story in this series June 6, 2001 lowari_top@mailcity.com (London) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Recovering from measles, the four children are taken to the islands off the north of Scotland by their secret agent friend Bill who is trying to hide from his "enemies." Once offshore, Bill falls into the enemies' hands leaving the children to survive on their own, rescue him from the jaws of death and escape. Again non-stop childrens' adventure in the true Blyton tradition.
A must for any child with imagination December 13, 2000 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Buy for your children or just relive your childhood - another in the 'Adventure' series by Enid Blyton. Jack, Philip, Dynah, Lucy-Ann and of course Kiki the irrepressible parrot end up up to their necks in another of their escapades, much to Lucy-Ann's chagrin.
Thrilling Children's adventure July 28, 2000 lowari_top@mailcity.com (London) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The children, recovering from measles, are taken by their friend Bill Cunningham, who is trying to escape from a gang of gunrunners, to the Islands off the west coast of Scotland. He is soon conveniently captured by the enemy, leaving the children alone and boatless. Left to their own devices they demonstrate their usual courage and resourcefulness, survive a storm, capture an innocent birdwatcher, steal his boat and heroically set about Bill's rescue which is accomplished after numerous adventures. A first-rate, fast-moving children's adventure.
