Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars You don't have to be a teenager to read this!   March 3, 2003

I'm doing a literature degree and I'm definitly not ashamed to admit that I loved this book. The first three books in this series are great, really powerfull and very believable. I wasn't suprised to learn that the series was originally a trilogy though, the other four felt kind of 'tagged-on'. There's a definite structure to the first three books that makes them more powerful. What else can I say? Read this book!

I have read 5 of John Marsden's book and they are really good. He is a great writer and all his books are so powerful. You really think that you are with the teenagers as the go throught the war
