Excellent January 30, 2008 Mrs. A. M. Chadwick (Darwen, Lancashire, England) I've now read a number of James Patterson's novels, and all have been excellent, (look at my other reviews). This is the 3rd book in his "Maximum Ride" series, whatever age you are you'll enjoy the series but read them in order, ("When the wind blows", then "The Lake House"," Maximum Ride: School's out forever" which is the prequel to "Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment"). The flock is looking for their real parents and are on the run from the Erasers, nasty creatures who only want to kill the flock. They manage to find Iggy's real parents but unfortunately they don't do the right thing, hence Iggy leaves and rejoins the flock. They have a new member of the flock but it's not another hybrid!! Fighting for their lives they hide in Disney, nasty Ari and the Erasers are hot on their trail. What happens to Max and the flock? Well I could tell you but it would ruin it for you. With Max and the flock you'll go through all kinds of emotions when you join them on their journey, it's a compulsive read. Another great book in this fantastic series and worth every penny, it's one I'll read again. :-) It's a great series of books and one I'd recommend to anyone. My advice to teenage readers is if you want a little more then "Harry Potter" then these are the books for you. :-) Another excellent part of the flock's story. Thanks to James Patterson they'll be a 5th book out this year, I can't wait to read it.
Even better January 28, 2008 Ms. G. Duvall (kent) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book I found even better than the first the humour in this book made it a lighter read and absolutely brilliant (my partner kept wondering why I was laughing) and when I lent this one to my teenage sister (who now cant wait for me to buy the third book) our parents kept wondering the same thing about her. (she kept laughing too) This book is an excellent second in the series and we (my sister and I) hope the next book is as good.
Abosoloutely amazing - could not put it down!! November 8, 2007 Kralia (UK) This book is absoloutely amazing!! The writer's writing sytle gives you brilliant images throughout the story, so you are able to "see" what is happening as if you were there. Truly amazing. Am off to buy the next one now!!
Maximum Ride 2 September 30, 2007 S. Bower 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I absolutely adore this series, and this book was no dissapointment. It was so excellent that I read it in a day! Its full of Action, Mystery and pure comedy. Easily my 3rd favourite book series (beaten only by The Guardians of Time trilogy and the CHERUB series)
just as good as the last September 20, 2007 cath m 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
if you havent read the first book (maximum ride: the angel experiment) then stop reading this and go read the first one. the book starts roughly wehere it left off, with max, fang, iggy, nudge, gazzy, angel, and total(!), fleeing form The Institute, New York city. the are on there way to washington d.c. to find there parents and find out where they come from and why they have wings (yes wings). From the first page the plot of the book doesn't slow down, from finding out that someone has risen fom the grave, to one of the flock members being injured and even being found out by the F.B.I. the story will keep you hooked and wont let you go til the very last page and will still have you thinking about it for the next week. yes this book is a work of literary genius and deserves all the praise it is given.
