I Love These Books November 13, 2008 Nialli (Tynemouth, England) I'm so happy these books have come back, i tried to buy them about a year ago and Amazon only had the old covers and limited stock. I first read these books when i was about 10 and fell totally in Love with them, i would really recommend them to anyone!
A great young girl's story November 11, 2008 Thea Lethe (U.K) This is the first 3 books of the nine that are currentlyt avaliable, and are the best supernatural romance i've ever read, of which i've read over and over again. I first read it myself 9 years ago, with Secret Vampire and Daughters of Darkness, and was hooked from then on. There is a tenth title, but this hasn't been released yet, since the author has had problems. Read in any order, they are stand alone. This trilogy has the following: 1.Secret Vampire: Poppy is dying, and when her best friend James finds out, he gives her the promise of the Nightworld to save her. Find out her decision and what happens... 2. Daughters of Darkness: Mary Lanette gets more then a mystery when her closest neighbor has a visit form her three beatuiful nieces Rowan, Krestel and Jade, but when the body of their aunt disappears, and their enticing brother Ash comes to take them back, Mary Lanette finds herself in the world of Nightworld, and all the power it can give her... 3. Spellbinder/Enchantress: Blaise and Thea are cousins and as different as dark and night. Blaise likes to play with guys, but when Thea meets Eric, they suddenly become rivals in love and magic, and Thea risks more then a few broken rules to save him...
Night World September 7, 2008 Sidebotham (somerset) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got my parents to buy me this book for my birthday after reading the Stephanie Meyer books. This book was waaaaaay better and i liked how it was like 3 little books in 1. The 2nd story was my favourite because it had the most romance :D :D. I'd definatley recommend it to anyone who thought the Twilight Saga books were ok-ish/good because they look really bad after reading this. L.Sidebotham
L.J.. Smith...Long Overdue! August 27, 2008 I. Attah (London) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I remember reading this amazing womans books when i was younger. I would curl up and literally speed read my way through this nightworld series. Secret Vampire, the first (and arguably best) of the series. A girl (Poppy) who finds out she is dying finds out that her best friend (James) is a vampire. Thus ensues a love story and an insight into the fascinating world that L.J. Smith has created about vampires. Unlike a series of books that I recently (and unfortunatly) read (Twilight:bad writing, caracterizations-i hated bella etc.), These books create a world of substance, there is a background story to each of the characters...and you can't help but wish that you were a part of their world. Thats what a great author inspires in her readers, the desire to want to fully immerse yourself in the world that she has created. I loved these books, I had the originals so long ago, the pages are now yellow! So im going to re-buy these and re-read them and remember how they made me feel when i was 14 (and im 22 now!) Thank you L.J Smith, now hurry up and write Strange Fate, its been a 10 year wait...but im still excited!
