Customer Reviews:
OK, but black & white illustrations only September 29, 2008 Songbird26 (London) A nice book at a good price, but beware - all the pictures are line drawings in black and white only. It would be most suitable for older children who might enjoy colouring in the pictures as they learn the words... For younger children the Usborne 'First Thousand Words in Chinese' book is probably much better. Both books, however, suffer from the problem that the scenes are Western with Chinese tacked on - so specifically Chinese items and scenes are missing. There's definitely room in the market for a word book based on specifically Chinese pictures!
