Absolutely brilliantJune 27, 2008 Joanna Gwynne(Midlands, UK) I first read Anne of Green Gables at the age of 19, and within two weeks had bought the rest of the books in the series and read them all. I still re-read them at frequent intervals and I am now 38! I would recommend this and the other books to any child or adult.

Yes, I agree with just about everyone else reviewing this. A very special book, even a great book in a very special series - funny, warm, sad, it has everything and is as fresh as the day it was written.
My daughter just loved this to bits.
LOVE THIS BOOKMarch 18, 2008 L. Robinson(Yorkshire) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read this book many years ago when a teenager and loved it so much went on to read the others in the series. It is a wonderful book, sad in places but mainly making you smile. My best friend still call each other 'kindred spirit' after this book introduced us to the idea you have one true kindred spirit in this world-I recommend this book to young and old!
Truly heart warming!December 26, 2007 Philip Thompson(London) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I loved this book, Anne is one of the most lovable and worthwhile characters in fiction. The story is very uplifting and also really funny, the scrapes that Anne gets herself into with her over active imagination is a joy to read. I enjoyed this book so much that I instantly read the following two sequels and they felt just like a continuation of the same book so I would recommemnd reading them as one book.

I read this book as a child and re-read it again and again. I loved Anne -she was really a child who had spirits and vision. A positive thinker!! Now i have purchased this book for my neice as i think it is a book every child between the age of 8-15 should read. You are never to old for Anne of green gables.
