Great compact simple bookAugust 8, 2006 T. O'sullivan(London) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
i am a year ten student who was gven the oppoutunity to take my A/S level exams early. This was a daunting prospect for me however this book really helped. It contains lots of useful and clear information and was definatly the main back of my revision however it only covers main points and fails to go into great depths therefore another book would be needed.
So to summarise:
-simple, easy to understand. -consice (hopefully the right spelling !) contains only main points. -Fantastic for revision of the main points. -must be used in conjunction with another a/s level philosophy book.
If you are doing as or a2 philosophy and ethics then this book is definatly a must
An Excellent Study AidMay 20, 2006 ruthie_uk2001(United Kingdom) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
As a year 13 student approaching my A Level examinations I have found this text extremely useful in preparation for both by AS and A2 exams. As the previous reviewer quite rightly argues, this book is not enough alone to enable you to pass the exam at the higher grades, but combined with your own revision programme this book provides concise notes and plenty of detail which is very useful. It is written in a way which is easy to understand and contains practice exam questions and tips on exam technique. I would reccommend this to any student of Philosophy and Ethics from the beginning of the course in Year 12, combined with personal study it has been invaluable to me.

It covers the main aspects of the A2 syllabus for OCR, but is too brief to be of any real assistance to the bighter pupils.
