I think Jo Fenton has really set the bar for wonderfully written, beautifully illustrated modern children's books. I had the pleasure of reading WHAT'S UNDER THE BED to my godsons and it took me right back to being a kid myself - when books before bedtime were just the right side of scary & more thrilling, magical and fun than any tv show or computer game could ever be.
I've bought a copy of WHAT'S UNDER THE BED for myself - I ended up looking at these incredible illustrations long after the kids went to sleep! - and I can't wait to see what Fred does next.
