The idea is nice, the kids like to open the flaps and see what's going on under the ground, but I found the text very stiff and the storyline lacking any sparkle.

A lovely book; Intelligently, but simply written to explain how plants grow.Sam the cat plants some sunflower seeds, and just can't wait for them to flower. Flaps reveal the things Sam can't see once he has planted the seeds. A beautiful pop up sunflower surprises Sam and his friends, and makes them all want to grow more plants next year.
