good for atheists too March 10, 2008 D. P. ROWELL (LONDON ENGLAND) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
It is worth pointing out that this book is exceptionally good as a reference guide, regardless if one is pagan or not. I am an atheist, but was always interested in the pagan calender, which is still a part of our more traditional calender. The content is very impressive and is well worth a look if you are interested in knowing about such a gloriously natural religion.
Short and Sweet October 25, 2007 Acquafortis (Italy) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
A small great book. Written in a simple precise way where one can follow all the calendar days from a pagan point of view. A good book to start with. I always keep it near for quick reference, just not to forget who we really are.
historical importance February 22, 2007 cranberry (Brixton, London, UK) 6 out of 14 found this review helpful
I think this book is a long way short of what is needed to bring about an interest in the subject matter, and yet I was enthralled by the way it was able to draw my interest. Perhaps the pagan dates and ceremonies were the strong point, well done.
An Excellent Guide to the Pagan Calendar February 14, 2004 L. Reynolds (West Midlands, England) 55 out of 57 found this review helpful
This little book is a fabulous guide to the Pagan Wheel. It brings together the important days of many different Pagan traditions, alongside a few somewhat obscure historical days. It's full of facts and is fun to read. It's a good starting place for those who are new to Paganism, and also for those who wish to learn more about other traditions.
A Dim Sum of Paganism August 24, 2002 25 out of 35 found this review helpful
An interesting but unfortunately brief text which will wet the appetite to look further into many areas. Lots of little gems of esoteric trivia. A Dim Sum of basic paganism.
