Dinosaur's Day Out: Read and Share

There is lots to talk about on every page, with large, clear illustrations and uncomplicated language. Children are given the opportunity to learn early map reading skills with signs and icons that are easy to recognise. I was particularly impressed that danger signs for fire and poisons were included as well as warning signs that children are likely to see when they are outside. There is lots of interaction on every page where children are asked to find the correct route for the dinosaurs to follow or choose lunch for them in the cafe.

Although my son cannot yet read, I believe that Dinosaurs' Day Out will encourage him to learn words and recognise familiar signs that we see every day. He likes the friendly dinosaur characters too!

This really is a book for young children that is fun as well as educational. It is fun for them at 3 and will continue to be read for many years to come. Great value!
