Outstanding Value for any Cricket LoverApril 29, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Playfair Cricket Annual 2001 is a pocket sized library of up to date cricket statistics and information. It contains to the point pen pictures of each first class county and their playing staff, a summary of the previous season and very importantly international stats for test and limited over games. Well laid out and easy to use.....cracking good value for the money!
Class production keeps fan informed of Player data and otherApril 21, 2001 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
the new edition maintains its tradition of keeping the fan up to date by following its regular format. The way any fan can see if a player is approaching a personal best shows how useful it is as a reference tool.It also gives a summary on all players registered which is especially useful when a newcomer breaks into the side. This edition also contains a tribute to the great Sir Don Bradman possibly the greatest player that ever lived. The inclusion of County Phone numbers is also helpful when weather is dodgy and want clarification before the short trip to the ground.I find this a very compulsive read and plan my diary around the fixture section included at the back. The fielding chart is very useful for teaching new fans about players positions.I also find it is the perfect size as a reference guide.
